FOSTERING CULTURAL EXCELLENCE: NATIONAL INTER-SCHOOLS CULTURAL GAMES (NISCG)

NISCG, ORGANIZED BY THE CULTURAL GAMES ASSOCIATION OF GHANA (CGA) IN COLLABORATION WITH THE GHANA EDUCATION SERVICE, IS A PREMIER NATIONAL SPORTS EVENT ENGAGING OVER 30,000 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN 15 TRADITIONAL CULTURAL GAMES, PROMOTING PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ACTIVITY, AND FOSTERING EXCELLENCE IN GHANA’S ANNUAL INTER-SCHOOLS COMPETITION.

NISCG Flagship

The NISCG flagship cultural games and sports consist of Skyball, Ate, Alikoto, Pushboxing, Ampe Sports, Amanball, Oware, Catapult, Draught and Chaskele. The respective cultural games and sports bring the young high school players together across the Schools in Ghana to demonstrate their performances that can take national pride in. Schools representing regions across Ghana understand the general NISCG objective in terms of recognition of the important role the cultural games play in students development and support to achieve sports excellence. NISC Inter-School Sports

The National Inter-Schools Cultural Games is suitable for the Senior High Schools in Ghana. Among the many games and sports involved in the competition, Schools across the country have the flexibility to select which cultural game and sports to register their students for the national competition.
Sports enthusiasts, stakeholders and business partners’ involvement can make the National Inter-Schools Cultural Games as annual competition possible if both active and prospective partners funding and support will be made available to the NISCG organizers through the Cultural Games Association at large
